Players from the 2009-10 Winter RiverCats, along with players from the GRB Academy are gathering awards for their performance this spring during the baseball season. The All-District Teams for the state of Wisconsin have been posted.  Three players from the 2009-10 Winter RiverCats 18U team have received recognition. Pitcher Cody Peterson, a senior from Burlington, was a 1st Team selection for District VI, which is the  Southeastern Wisconsin district. Infielder Pat Cottrell, a junior from Jefferson, was a 2nd Team selection for District V, which is the South Central Wisconsin District. Outfielder Heath Rowe, a junior from Marinette, was an Honorable Mention selection for District IV, which is the East Central Wisconsin District. Three players from the 2009-10 Greg Reinhard Baseball Academy have also gathered All District Awards for the spring season.  One of those players, Pat Cottrell, was listed above.  Besides Cottrell, two others were recognized. Pitcher Chris Wolf, a junior from Johnson Creek, was an Honorable Mention selection for District III, which is the Southwestern District for Wisconsin. Infielder Michael Stellmacher, a senior from Jefferson, was an All-Academic Selection for District V, which is the South Central district for Wisconsin. The All-Conference Teams and All-State Teams have not yet been released for the spring season.

• A New “Members Area” – By accessing and registering for our members area, you will be able to get updates from new items being posted on this site, along with the opportunity to download pdf’s and other items we are working on.  Our first one was recently posted – “Shoulder Strengthening and Injury Prevention Routines”.  This has a fee associated with the download, but many of the items I hope to create, and have have created by other players and coaches will be free downloads.
• Rock River Fall League – The Rock River Fall League is almost completed.  We are looking to expand our league, adding to it and offering the quality baseball in the fall that our area and state needs.  This is a great opportunity for teams to continue playing, work on things for the next year, use it as a player evaluator for the next year, and adjust to new field sizes.  It is also a great opportunity for players to register as free agents and get extra at bats, innings, and continue playing.  This can be a great way for free agent players to showcase themselves to area traveling teams.
• Wisconsin RiverCats – We are working really hard on setting up our tryout dates and the tournament dates for the upcoming year.  We have changed several things for the upcoming year.  We are hoping to be in contact with all of the tournament directors and have things straightened away so we can have all information posted by June 1st!  Just a look into this fall and winter is pretty exciting!  We have several new tournaments we have researched.  Locations and tournaments will really be awesome this year!
• Greg Reinhard Baseball Academy –  The dates for our academy sessions in Jefferson High School are almost done, along with the sessions being offered.  Also, new to this year may be some sessions in Nx Level in Waukesha and Hartland.  We are working on a package deal to have pitching sessions matched up with a workout with the trainers at Nx Level.  Pitching is a big mix of both, and we are hopeful to bring some mid-week dates for those serious and dedicated to bringing their game to the next level.
