DETAILS: For the last five years, the GRB Academy Camps have been the place to be for those looking for individual instruction in a small group session. Back again, now in the new facility, the GRB Academy Camps look to be better than ever with more coaches with more experience, and a location that is set up perfectly for player’s needs.

The GRB Pitching Academy is open to only 12 pitchers. This program creates the well rounded pitcher, using mechanical drills, throwing programs, fielding of position, video breakdown, arm strengthening, arm maintenance, and pitch development. Multiple former and current professional and college standout players will be on hand to help guide players in the direction of reaching their potential. This camp has sold out every year!

The GRB Catching Academy Camp year after year fills us with many of the same players because the attention to detail of catching mechanics, receiving the ball, throwing properly to bases, catching footwork, and blocking. Players are trained fully on becoming a defensive catcher who has the skills to lead his team from behind the dish.

The GRB Hitting and Fielding Camp provides players with the two most important parts of playing the game: how to successfully, and field fundamentally the correct way. Players will learn the professional and collegiate way at a young age so skills will be implemented for the length of baseball career.

Players will spend an hour hitting and an hour fielding and throwing, preparing themselves for a successful 2012.

Hitting focuses on bat path to the ball, maximization of bat speed to increase power without sacrificing contact. Also, camp is individualized to make individual improvements to every player. Video review and analysis is routinely used to break down hitting mechanics.

Fielding focuses on correct footwork, approach to the ball, hand positioning, and throwing to bases. Players will learn proper footwork to field balls on the run, to the backhand side, to the forehand side, and right at them.
